Kitchen Faucets
A faucet upgrade is the single highest-impact kitchen DIY per yen spent.
Securing the structural strength of the opening is crucial. After removing shelves and dividers, verify the remaining frame can handle the dishwasher’s weight (about 30u201340 kg). Add reinforcing lumber or plywood as needed. m(_ _)m
Routing the Plumbing Cleanly
Secure water supply and drain hoses under the sink with cable ties. A kinked hose reduces flow and can cause leaks. Always verify no hose is under stress when the cabinet door is closed.

Hi, it’s DIY Dad! Project OS u2014 the counterparty who seemed to have agreed suddenly started dragging their feet again… Honestly it was quite frustrating. But letting that anger drive a head-on confrontation would derail the whole plan. All the hard work so far would go to waste. DIY Dad calms down and thinks about recovery. After consulting with our partner contact, we decided to send a handwritten appeal letter to the counterparty. Hoping that does the trick. Continuing the 1F kitchen renovation!
The rear kitchen wall is now opened up. We level out the installation height for the dishwasher. Having the dishwasher closer to the countertop height makes it more user-friendly. But the countertop area is occupied by the sink, so we raise the unit as high as possible on a platform.
We fabricate the raising platform from SPF lumber, frame it up, and dry-fit it in place.
